Procare is an Australian owned business led by executive managers, Mark Colgan, James Colgan, Nick Tyson, Coralie Young, Matthew Foley, Damian McHugh, Jim Jobson and James Brosnan.
Procare has been successfully growing since our inception in 1998. We adopt a strategic policy of organic growth, gradually expanding our services and locations based on proven performance, strong customer relationships and innovative service delivery. Today, we are a national service provider with over 200 consultants across Australia.
Our Leadership Team
Mark is the founding Director of Procare, commencing the organisation in 1998. Today he serves as owner, Managing Director and Chief Executive. Mark oversees the strategic direction of the organisation, with specialist skills in account management, business development and growth strategies.
With qualifications in law, prior to Procare, Mark worked in the insurance and financial services industry as a D&O liability and casualty claims handler, liability underwriter, Tax Consultant and Liability Investigator. Mark’s wealth of expertise and vision has provided the foundation for Procare’s service approach, development and customer offerring.
James is a Director, board member and owner. James currently serves as Chief Operations and Financial Officer, having previously overseen the national expansion of Procare’s injury management division between 2010 and 2016. James currently oversees the strategic operational direction and financial management of the organisation.
James joined Procare in 1999, having previously been engaged as Corporate Tax Manager for the third largest professional services firm in the world. James has been instrumental to Procare’s growth, strategy and operational management of all business lines, bringing broad expertise to oversee the strategic direction of Procare’s operational management.
Nick was appointed National Relationships Manager in 2017, having previously led the national expansion of Procare’s investigations division to a national platform. Nick has demonstrated exceptional client relationship management, adopting an approach of dedication, reliability, partnership and genuine fair play.
Nick joined Procare in 2002, became a shareholder in 2005 and has had extensive general management, business development, account management and business operations experience. Prior to Procare, Nick worked in banking, risk management and financial services, in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Coralie is Procare’s executive manager for investigations. Joining the firm in 2002, she became a shareholder in 2008 and has worked in range of senior leadership roles in the organisation. Beyond investigations, she serves a key operational and strategic management function across the senior leadership team.
With qualifications in criminology, Coralie previously worked in L&D, Recruitment and Training with one of Australia’s largest investment banks. From this background, Coralie has contributed significantly to Procare’s financial and HR strategies, particularly as the organisation has expanded to a national platform.
Matthew joined Procare in 2014 as Claims Director, overseeing the strategic direction and operational performance of Procare’s claims and risk division. He is also a Director of one of Procare’s related companies, PC Legal, a specialist legal firm.
Matthew has been a solicitor since 1994 specialising in insurance litigation and advice, and was previously a partner at a specialist insurance litigation firm. Matthew has defended claims locally and internationally including the UK, Japan and Hong Kong and has supported insurers in the defence of high profile claims attracting media attention, matters involving personal injury and property damage and high volume/low quantum claims such as motor vehicle property damage.
His areas of specialisation include disability and Consumer Credit Insurance, Public Liability, Property Insurance, Motor Accidents, Common Law Liability, Motor Vehicle Property Insurance, Fraud claims and advice on insurance policy documentation including policy interpretation.
Jim Jobson joined Procare in July 2016, leading Procare’s Loss Adjusting operations. He has over 20 years experience in claims management and is a leading loss adjusting specialist in Australia.
Jim is responsible for all Loss Adjusting Services and Property claims. This includes maintaining an active involvement in all Loss Adjusting assignments and acting in a leadership role to other staff advising on technical and procedural matters.
Jim’s extensive experience covers operational claims management, leading change and execution of strategic plans. He has held senior management roles with Crawford’s, Ace Insurance and IAG which included responsibilities for integration of shared service units, key account management and supply chain performance.
Damian joined Procare in 2016 as Executive Manager – Injury Management. With general management responsibility for Procare’s national Injury Management business, Damian is focused on delivering tangible value for Procare customers. He is passionate about delivering a positive customer experience through enabling his team to bring their best to their roles.
Damian is a Macquarie Graduate School of Business alumni, completing his MBA in 2011. Damian has over 11 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having previously held senior roles at Atradius Credit Insurance, Lumley Insurance (Wesfarmers Insurance) and Allianz Australia. Prior to this Damian held management positions for a leading Irish multi-national manufacturing operation, Smurfit Kappa Group.
Emma joined Procare in 2013 to lead our national forensic accounting operations. Her areas of expertise are in professional (financial) insurance lines including employee fidelity assessment and quantification, reviews of third party fraud allegations, quantification of stock losses, as well as client losses.
Emma is a qualified CPA with over ten years of experience in accounting, financial investigations, business reviews & audits. Her experience includes fraud related matters for law enforcement, business interruption and insolvency industries. Operationally, her expertise includes mentoring and training of staff including all facets of quality control and file reviewing for forensic accounting & fraud related matters.
Kim joined Procare in 2013 and has national oversight of Procare’s medico-legal services, Psychological and wellness services, and Earning Capacity Assessment Services. At a strategic level, Kim partners with clients and the internal management teams to facilitate the design and continuous improvement of Procare’s service approach. She also has an integral role in innovative design of new pilots, to explore new strategies to better facilitate recovery and return to work.
Before joining Procare, Kim has worked for over 20 years as a registered psychologist, in a range of senior roles including clinical practice, insurance, CTP, national service manager, health educator and rehabilitation advisor.
James joined Procare in 2013 and oversees National Factual Investigations service delivery. Prior to commencing as national manager with Procare, he held operational and account management responsibilities, as well as handling insurance law matters as a qualified solicitor.
James is a qualified solicitor who has practiced in Australia and Ireland. His expertise includes operational management, technical advice, client relationship management, training and tailored claims strategies to promote optimised outcomes.
